Today marks the first day of Inktober, fellow artists! Time to take out those pens, markers, ink and brushes and get to sketching! Not sure what inktober is all about? Well, let me fill you in 😉
Jake Parker holds this event yearly. During the month of October, artists around the world draw 31 drawings for 31 days, their best ink piece and post it on social media be it Twitter, Instagram, Fb, and so on. You use the hashtag #inktober for Jake and other artists to see what you’ve come up with for this month’s challenge.
It’s a great way to practice your skills and a good habit to pick up. Helps us to be better as an artist and to meet MORE amazing artists online. So join us and participate! It’s all for fun and for your own benefit as an artist 🙂
For my first post, I decided to sketch up an introduction for the event, some have a theme planned out for the month and others just sketch up random things. So, what do you say? Care to join in the fun? If so, how would you like to go about it? Comment below with a link to your sketches if you are participating or if you have any suggestions as to what you would like me to sketch up for tomorrow!
